Don't bother with the app as it is currently. The default keyboard is pretty bad compared to most custom keyboards out there. Pressing the back button closes the app instead of going back? For some results it gives me the measurements in feet and inches; I can't recall if it was possible on the site, but you'd expect an app to be a tailored experience. What use is it to give me units I don't know? I went for a refund. I wanted to support Wolfram, but not by paying for a shite app. The website works just fine on mobile, I'll just use that.
Honestly, for a paid app, it's really bad. The custom keyboard (that you can't switch from if your Android doesn't feature a "Menu" hardkey) is overly large, clunky, and lacks haptic feedback. It was obviously built around the time of Android 2.X and never really updated significantly, and now every query just returns "Failed to parse" instantly, even with a good data connection.
Great computing service, terrible user experience. Save your money, the mobile version online works way better. There's no loading indicator for new queries and layouts are misaligned on the Google pixel XL.
Constantly crashes. Keyboard barely responsive. Seems like the app is updated once a year if we're lucky.
Please update the aesthetic to android 5.0/lollipop. Also please allow the use of our regular keyboard. The current ui looks like shite
I love the search engine but the app is very dated and needs to be updated to meet Android's be standards. How can such an advanced search engine have such a horrible app.
