About this app

DTMF decodes and encodes DTMF (Dual-tone multi-frequency) tones trough the phones speaker and microphone.
Encoder: Always 2 tones are assigned to each key.The length of the tone and the pause between the tones can be set from 35ms to 1500ms.
A total of 36 marco’s can be used to play phone numbers, ham radio auto patch numbers, amateur radio echolink id's any many more. The 36 macro's can be saved to the phones/tablets memory. This way a unlimited amount of macros can be used. The DTMF tone length and the pause between the tones can be adjusted.
Decoder: The decoder detects the DTMF tones and prints them on the screen. A sophisticated algorithm detects the tones even in noisy environments.

This app is super helpful when I need to know what digits a push button box is dialing. I needed to troubleshoot emergency call boxes and this helped me to find out the number they were calling. What is needed, is a "start & stop" feature for the receiving mode. The problem is that after the digits have been decoded, the app continues to listen to everything around and enters additional information.

Needs more options You should be able to have an option where as the longer you hold down a key the longer it continues to make a sound. There should also be an option in the macros where you can enter the duration of each recorded tone. For instance if I dial "0501#A" I might want the tones of "0501#" to be long, but I want the tone of the "A" key to be a very short burst of tone. There are some devices that actually require this. This should be programmable in the macro options but it is not

Nice app, UI is a little outdated but it does as advertised. If it integrated with tasker or at least made some sort of system broadcast when DTMF tones were recieved it would be amazing. Especially if it could be done in the background and dtmf macros could be triggered by tasker or shortcut. Lots of potential in this app
