A friend of mine bought this for me so she would have a friend to compete with. I'm sure she spent enough and it won't even connect to Android. She has an iPhone and has no issues but I can't get mine set up. It won't connect to the bowtie and sometimes doesn't even register that the phone and bowtie are right next to each other.
Honestly I read all these bad reviews but once I got the thing connected it really is awesome! I think the trick is to charge the device before syncing it to your phone. In this order, charge bowtie, download app, set up account, do the tutorial, wait 2 hours, place the bowtie next to phone, start connection process. I read on their website you need to have it charged first :D
For all the people having trouble connecting, do charge it for four hours and leave it plugged in while doing the initial connection. I haven't had problems with connection after that initial hump. That being said, there are a number of small bugs throughout the app. For example, some of the badges don't work properly and the labels are wrong. The daily reminders flat out don't work. The support team seems good, so if you're having trouble, reach out to them. The Android app is also missing some functionality of the iOS app, such as multiple carers. My other beef with it, is that the company won't release what your dog's target goals are for the day, citing that as proprietary. So you just have to watch the bones fill up and try to base activity on that, rather than having an hour of activity you can schedule for. It's still a fun little gadget and I hope they continually improve the UI, fix the bugs and bring Android to feature parity.
LOL WOW. How on EARTH AND BEYOND can something be released and even sold at pet stores that is so unreliable? Bought it, charged it and even updated the firmware and yet STILL THE SAME PROBS I SEE PPL HAVE HAD FOR A YEAR NOW!! Why is this taking so long to get the product working properly?? Did you fire the entire tech division?? All it ever does now is say connecting. Have tried un/reinstalling etc. Fail.
Terrible. Returning. Does not connect. Android version has fewer options than Apple version. Have spent a few hours trying to get it to work. Once it finally connected no activity was tracked. Taking back.
Doesn't connect Bought brand new was very excited and no matter what I try it does not want to connect. Very disappointed. I guess I will be returning.
