I listen to way too many podcasts and my go to ap is Pocket Casts - it cost a couple of bucks but worth it. Downloaded wondery as way to keep story aps in separate library. This ap is not easy. Too many owl graphics hide important buttons (like play!) Download vs stream not intuitive so replay stops and stutters. Auto download and auto delete nonexistent. The swipe to find content was fun and useful. Overall - Half baked.
Only able to listen to about a minute and a half of a podcast before it pauses. No matter if I'm using Wi-Fi or network. Tried restarting app several times. I've had app downloaded for 2 months and haven't been able to listen to one single podcast.
Not worth it. I downloaded the app to see what podcasts were available on the Wondery network in the genres I liked. I selected 15 or 16 genres (channels), but after you're through, it only shows about 2 channels worth . What's the point of selecting all those channels then? It also has a feature called "Wondery+" where you go through and select the channels that you are interested in just like when you are setting up the account (I chose 2 (philosophy and foreign language). However, before seeing what podcasts are offered in the 2 channels, they want you to subscribe for $3 a month. Really?? I mean seriously, who would spend $ on something without knowing what's behind the curtain. The app is a good idea, but needs to be rethought out. Guess I will have to go to the website to see what they have to offer.
Lots of lag time and quite a few of the podcasts won't load an you have to go out of the app and then back in to get the next episode to play.
App kept saying "podcast unavailable" for all channels
Can't tell you anything about this app other than the icon is an owl because it won't even open...
