Does not work with MiP My kid got a MiP for Christmas. I got it partially because he could use it with a little Samsung tablet he got from a relative. The tablet is newish and it is made for kids but the MiP app does notwork with it. You would think they would at least let you use the basic control, but no, the stupid company forces you to a website to download the MiP app that is incompatable with kids tablets. PLEASE FIX THIS!
Does not work on Robo*Me Download on HTC1. Not working beeps 3 time after command when I shut down attaching turning on bot and lunching app
Thankful we have an iPhone. Garbage app with MiP Sad app. Developers shouldn't say it's functional on Google play, because it does not work with Evo LTE. glad we have an iPhone because app works fine there. Please fix this awful android app or remove from mip documentation-not fair that App store is light years better.
does not work with all android devices apparently I tried the current version (June 24, 2014) on my OnePlus One, and on a Nook HD and neither of them were able to control my Robosapien using the roboremote dongle plugged into the head phone jack. If this only works on specific devices, the app developer really needs to state this clearly. I bought this dongle to control my robosapien as it looked like it would be easier to program in programmed movements than with using the remote, but now I feel like I was duped into buying a worthless product. And don't tell me to get a Apple device, I can't stand Iphones or Ipads.
So frustrating!!! I have the RoboSapien and to use the app, you'll need the accessory attachment w/3.5 mm jack included in the package. The infrared for the accessory is ON THE TOP OF THE HEAD and NOT the eyes that light up!!! So make sure the top of the head is pointing to the robot's eyes/head! I hope this helps others! Works on v4.4.2 or below, not on v5.0. I rated this app a 2 for the lack of direction in the app description of how to use it properly and no answers regarding this in the manual or support site!!!
Robosapien X Test the IR output: most cell phone camera's can see IR. Take your cell, put it in video camera mode and point it at the business end of your robo remote. Press a button on the robo remote. You will see light emanating from your remote when viewing through your cell. If you can see the light, then you can test the Robo dongle in the same fashion (using a second cell phone). If you do not see a light coming out of the robo IR dongle, then it isn't sending a signal. my son's robosapien X dongle doesn't work.
