Ace Perfect on my Galaxy Tab2. Thank goodness as I was beside myself. And thank you. Since found slight prob. When Tablet first swiitches on, it reverts to Samsung keyboard. But once reset in settings it is fine.
Not the developers fault but.... Even after setting up a bluetooth keyboard and this app, if the keyboard times out, the Samsung device defaults to an onscreen keyboard so it's quite annoying. TIP: If you don't want the black box on the bottom, change your keyboard through Settings rather than the keyboard icon on the bottom. Wish device was smart enough to detect bluetooth connection is a keyboard so onscreen doesn't pop up. Not the fault of the developers, just so you know what to expect on the Galaxy Note 10.1
A must have for tablets! I had a frustrating issue using my tablet with a keyboard because I just wanted to not have a keyboard on the screen because I had an external one to use, so there was no point! It just took up screen real estate. I did a quick search on here and this came up. Lo and behold this was the answer to my poblem. So glad this exists!
Don't use if you password lock your device Nice idea, but it isn't aware of whether a Bluetooth keyboard is connected. If you leave this keyboard enabled, and lock your device, no soft keyboard will appear at login, and you'll need to use your BT keyboard to get back in. If you don't have the keyboard with you, you're out of luck.
Eh, one main problem... I had to edit my earlier review because it turned out that one of the problems was not due to the app but simply to the word processor that I was using. I'm glad that was the case so this app easily gets 4 stars. It would get 5 stars but there is one crucial feature that I think is missing: It lacks the ability to change to an onscreen keyboard. In my Android devices, whenever I need to change my keyboard, I can do it by clicking on a keyboard icon at the bottom of the screen and it gives me a list of keyboards that I could use (one of them being now the Null Keyboard). But with the Null Keyboard active, that icon no longer appears. I haven't tried yet, but I think that to change back to an onscreen keyboard (e.g. for those times when I take the tablet in hand and leave the keyboard on the desk), I would have to go to the Settings menu and choose the keyboard I want. To be honest, it's only a minor inconvenience, and if I were able to give 4.5 stars I would. But it is an inconvenience nonetheless and therefore I can't give the full 5 stars. Maybe this can be fixed in an update. Other than that, I LOVE this app so far!
Nice workaround for annoying issue This application provides the necessary workaround for an annoying issue which seems like short sighted problem on Android's part. However it would be nice if it's possible to use diffrent layouts.
