Something Wrong Scans my network but does not always display a list of connected devices - something wrong here...
Easy lightweight app to get basic network info. Shows all ip addresses connected to the network and see which ports are open. You can add a name for each device and copy ip address in the port scan popup. Free, no ads, no iap unless you want to donate. Can't get much better than that.
Needs some work Does an OK fing-like job for hosts on the same subnet as the phone. But, when asked to scan a host on a subnet other than the one on which the phone lives, always reports 0 ports open, and seems to revert to the IP of the phone. Tested from Samsung Galaxy Note 4.
At first it was as good as any other but then... I've noticed several bugs that have gone from annoying me off. The bug happens as I'm scanning a windows 10 computer which becomes slow. When I picked up my phone to look at it the first time, it changed the screen rotation, which cleared my port scan out. Then I tried again, and my screen shuts off during the scan. Well guess what? The scan disappears again. This is after waiting well over 10 min to scan 9000 ports. It's pulling up a lot of open ports too which should probably be closed.
Very helpful app I've been using this app while on vacation to know how many other users are on the network, both for curiosity and to figure out why the network is so slow. I also like being able to name various connections to be able to identify my friend's phone connection at a glance.
Nice app but operational issues I like the look of this app and particularly the ability to rename items - the manufacturer name is not always very informative! But the main problem is that the app doesn't always find all devices. If you scan two or three times you will often get different subsets of the devices. Some devices are never found although they are active on the LAN.
