For the most part the app is ok. Trying to watch Home Town from HGTV on demand and it comes up as Chopped from the Food Network. You had 1 job and managed to mess it up. You should look into adding a feature for if something like this happens, you will know right away because people watch might get mad. Currently can't report problems like this that I can see.
Add Android TV support now!! I've been contemplating cutting the cord for quite some time but there is programming on Comcast cable I really enjoy. What I would however like to do to save money is get rid of all of my boxes, with the exception of 1 dvr, that I pay a hefty rental fee for each months. I don't want to rent hardware any longer. I've purchased my own modem/router and now it's time to add Xfinity stream support to Android TV. I have one for every tv. At one point it worked and was great to navigate my subscribed channels, live content as well as on demand using the app without leaving the ATV UI. If this feature isn't added soon I'm going to look elsewhere for my Television service.
Tried to watch a live movie on HBO using Roku, but it kept freezing up. Switched to Amazon, Netflix and Hulu to see if it was the Wi-Fi connection. It wasn't. The other streaming services worked fine.
For the past few days, anything I select to view on demand, it loads; but then it freezes and only shows a still picture. It is happening with on demand selections and recorded items. I also tried uninstalling and reinstalling. This is the first time I've experienced this, so I'm a bit disappointed that i am no longer able to use and enjoy the app. Please fix!
It is absolutely absurd that I can't screen mirror my device to my pc. I have 2 boxes already, one for my brothers room and one for the family room. I shouldn't have to buy another to be able to watch VOD shows and movies available on the app to watch on my pc, especially when I am already paying +$200 a month for xfinity services. No screen mirroring is one of your dumbest policies. "Sorry, we don't like that you can move your head 45 degrees up to watch on a TV/PC instead of a device like a tablet or phone. Please pay for another cable box if you want to do that." Very soon I'll be dropping xfinity cable as a whole; I'm sick of these dumb "pay us more for less restrictions" policies.
Serious stability issues as well as a probable memory leak. If the app is running in the background, processes slow to a crawl. Consider testing your product before release.
Thanks to everyone who reported that we were playing a random episode when playing from the TV Show > Episodes screen! We ran into it as well, so we knew what you meant. That's fixed now, along with the issue where you couldn't play from the channel bar in All Listings if no listings were showing in the grid.
