I have been using this app without any issues for over a year . But around January 1, 2018 I can't set up recordings from my tablet. This was one of the best options in my opinion. I have tried calling Comcast tech support and they can only say is that they're sorry for the problems you're having but at the moment this is something that can't be corrected. But will note it on your account. One said that if I get the newest DVR with the cloud then it might correct the problem. So I say okay is it possible to get it at one their payment/store? No it can't be mailed or gotten from payment office it requires as service / repair call for $60.00. The charge will show on your next billing cycle and they won't break up the charge in installments like $20 per month. Seriously? My triple play package costs $250.00 a month and now you want me to raise it to $310.00. Ridiculous! I have this company for 4 years and have paid for this crappy service each month without being late! UNBELIEVABLE!!!
Download doesn't work so well anymore. I have to download then return a show multiple times before it finally works. Streaming directly uses way to much of my data. Last year downloading was fast & worked the 1st time. Not the case since about January
Why do I pay so much for my service when it advertises I can watch on the go but pauses every 3 seconds and buffers. I used to be able to watch but now it's horrible. Completely unusable app. Using a note 8 with unlimited data so issue is not on my end. Get your **** together Comcast/Xfinity or whatever you're wanting to be called.
Won't display everything on my DVR. Often won't let me delete something for no apparent reason. Gets hung up on a previous day's DVR content and no matter how many times you restart the app it won't show current content. TERRIBLE APP
I use it to watch live TV when I'm nowhere near a cable box, and it works fine. Lacks Chromecast support (which is a terrible omission). Note: commenters complaining about not being able to schedule recordings should use the complementary Xfinity Remote app.
So I have other apps that automatically connect to my Xfinity account, which is convenient considering I can't remember my email OR password to login- the other apps just automatically connect to Xfinity with the touch of a button... Yet, the ACTUAL Xfinity app doesn't even gave this feature? Absolutely absurd. 1 star, because it won't let me give less. The app is useless if I can't get in.
Has been very glitchy lately. Video won't play for longer than a few seconds before having to load again. Using a strong wifi connection too so I know it isn't the internet.
