Where's the ability to cast or stream to other devices? I know for a fact that I could add this ability alone, if given the source, this is a pretty common set of functionality at this point. So why can't a team of highly qualified developers in a major digital corporation seem to be slow to implement? Answer: corporate profit politics?? Really? So this app will never get better? Really?
Removing features on the app like setting and removing recordings to dvr is definitely a downgrade. Same with the chromecast/screen share limitation. Suck the users dry by making them pay another 10 bucks for another cable box. Worked decently before but now I download dvrd shows and it will not playback. It's on my device...no idea why a downloaded recording on my device is buffering or somehow can't play. I shouldn't need to be connected to a network to play downloaded material. Now with the update, even with a network connection..downloaded shows dont play...pointless app now
Would be a great app, IF you would quit trying to "fix" it. Every time I get it working correctly, you release an update that breaks it again. Now it will only allow me to down load about 8 minutes of a show that is eligible for download. Gave it 4 stars because when it works, it's a good app. Unfortunately it doesn't always work...
This app used to be great but they took the ability to SET recording remotely which almost makes it completely useless. Why would you restrict people from just setting up recordings remotely for shows you might miss? Just more of fixing what wasn't broken
S8+ viewing needs work. Other TV apps allow you to fill the entire screen by cutting off the bottom and top to fill the sides. I'd like the ability to cast to Chromecast, Roku, and maybe even TV apps rather then just mirror my phone.
Used to be great. Now if I switch apps, I can't go back and continue watching my selection. The pop-up for "Resume/Start Over" comes up for a split second, then the whole app minimizes itself. Renders the whole thing useless.
*** ** * I have significantly raised my rating for this app since last year. However, I still have one SIGNIFICANT outstanding problem with the app. When watching "LIVE" TV, I find that on my phone, (& all of my family member's), I frequently experience a 3 dot buffering (•••) & often a gap or loss of the show. This is NOT an in-home network issue (though it could be somewhere on the Xfinity network) as my network connectivity is in tact & sustained without delay or jitter. So it must be an issue with the data/video server. I look forward to a SPEEDY (too late for TIMELY) resolution to this issue. * ** ***
