FAIL - No volume or on/off control Confirmed verbally by Xfinity support 10-min ago, No volume control & No on/off control. What good is a remote control that does not provide a user these two most basic remote control functionality ...? My Samsung Smart TV is network connected and these options can be controlled by devices like our Android phones. Other "remote" apps provide these control functions ... Additionally, the Samsung I.R. remote dongle I used with pre-X1 box (to control STB via TV remote) is not supported (will not work).
Great remote This is a life saver! It has nearly all the functions of the real thing! This DOES have "page up/down" buttons. You'll find it under the "playback" menu, to the left and right of the stop key (the spinning arrows). For those of you who didn't know!! All it needs now is volume keys and it'll be perfection. Still giving 5 stars!
Gone downhill Was a great app, but now with the latest update and my new Galaxy Note 7, I can no longer change channels by number, because the rest of the controls are gone. All I have now is the choice for guide, voice, and 4 arrows. No longer have number pad or DVR controls. Or basically no real control at all. Just one more reason I'm getting closer to cutting the cable altogether.
I love that you can use your remote right away of it's far by using your phone! I always have it with me and I can conveniently use it! Although when I started using this app there is the bar that comes up when you open up the channels. It's always there now, not just for a few seconds and blocking a quarter of the bottom of the TV. Is there something you can do to fix this?
Peel is about the best app yet. Only thing this app is good for is using your phones keypad to type. No power, no volume control. You'll still need your three plus remotes to to enjoy a decent audio/video experience. Way to go Comcast a whole lotta money for a whole lotta nothing. Where are you Google fiber?
Power button needed! What's the point of a remote that won't power the tv on or off. Yes, once the tv has been manually turned on i can use this app to control my tv but why make an app that doesn't include a MAJOR feature, a power button..you know, on and off!? I'm deleting this app until it can power my tv on and off or I misplace my original remote.
