Wish we could get the older version back. Absolute junk and unsupported. Called for help...they said they would look into it and nothing. Exactly as I expected. 73 MB ! And it doesnt work. Seriously?! And keeping with xfinity standard operating procedures there is no support. Why does this need access to my photos and my inbound and outbound phone numbers?
Updating this review... The app is much better now that the favorites filter stays selected, however, the star symbol that is on the left channel column is way too easy to click by mistake when selecting a channel or scrolling and doing so erases the channel from my favorites. It would be much better to make the favorite channel selection to be locked or done on a separate menu to prevent accidentally removing channels from my favorites list. A good option could be recessing the favorites star icons on the left and swiping right from the left edge to bring out a favorite channel selection menu. Thanks
The app was great but recently has not worked as before. Before I could see my favorite channels when I open but keeps resetting. Whenever I view show info it freezes and shuts down. Needs an update to get Working as it was. Glad for the update. Works as it should
Frequently gives errors and does not work and there's no way to open a support ticket. Unknown errors, yay! I should not be surprised that is so bad, considering the source.
I have to say after sending a message to the app creator and that this app stopped working and after I talked with the online support and the store that it wasn't comparable with with my device and the equipment. I was then informed or an email returned back that it is and should be comparable between the two items. And now after a week has gone by with out any issues with this app since. So I updated this review, how ever I still feel that there can be some improvements with the app like being able to have a search for specific channel, instead of having to scan through every single channel just to get to a channel that is anywhere from 100-1000.
Call me silly but shouldn't the power on/off 'button' be the first thing you see when you finally locate the remote control? The app can lets me select from the four X1 rooms that I have set up, but I can't seem to turn any of the TV's on with the app. you're not actually telling me that I need to use the physical remote to turn on the TV before I can use the app remote to control it???
We've got several bug fixes for you in this release, including one to keep the Favorites filter enabled once you've selected it.
