I just spent 15 minutes redoing my favorite channels. It never did accurately show my selections. It would add versions never selected. When I went back and deselected those it altered previous selections. This has been one of my most troublesome apps since I loaded it several years ago. Unbelievably frustrating.
Amazing. After my two year old decided to play "I hide, mom seeks," with the remote, I proceeded to spend three hours searching EVERYWHERE! I sat down physically and mentally exhausted from my search, I'd say I was definitely feeling somewhere in between a margarita and a nap. Then I remembered this app. What a relief! Still have not found the remote, but at least he can watch his "blue's clues" while I finish my search. Thanks for this beautiful invention!
I miss the old app. It's silly that you have have to click on the mic to access controls like pause, the number pad & arrows. To me the pull-down menu would be the logical place to find these pages of the app.
The old app was better. All we need is a remote, we don't need a frigging guide that's already on the tv. A reminder popped up on the screen. I managed to change the channel through the guide, but the reminder stayed, then the screensaver came on. Thankfully one of the other reviews mentioned the microphone to access the actual useful features.
I can't access dvr upstairs,it defaults to the box downstairs where there are several remotes that only work on that dvr.comcast is far too expensive for these errors and mishaps. The old remote app was a better app.
Stopped working on July 4. Tried to get info on a listed show, and it just says "bad request", and gives no more information. Does this on all channels. Don't know what happened with the app but it's not a good thing. Xfinity needs to focus on providing services that customers want instead of maximizing their profits. Also tried it on multiple devices with multiple Android versions, and none worked.
This dot release is designed to make the app more tolerant of unexpected data: namely, don't crash if grid listings go missing, and do show recording groups even when they contain empty recordings.
