well... like everyone else here said, it drains the battery. If battery usage is restricted + set to "put in deep sleep" in the background, it kinda works. It's even manageable that it takes some time to start & connect, although it's annoying. But the app might refuse to start then. Happened to me in an underground parking with a poor reception for both car & the phone. I had to come back to the ground level, then the app has finally started. So 1 star, while I'm using the fob. Fix it, guys!

It's a useful and convenient app to remote control the car. BUT, it drains my phone (Samsung S22 Ultra) more than 40% in half a day which is insane. Xpeng needs to fix this issue asap. Is it so hard to make the car unlock without using that much power on the phone? All modern cars can do this with a key in the pocket and the battery that lasts 2-3 years. Also if they can make Apple Watch run the app, why can't they make Samsung Watch do the same?

Since we Just bought the G6, we suddenly noticed how quickly the Xpeng app drains the battery of both my phone (Galaxy S24+) and my wife's phone (Poco F7). Over night, even when in flight mode, the battery goes from 85% down to 45%. The app battery usage shows it constantly consumes CPU. To overcome this issue we need to force close the app after opening it for each locking/unlocking action of the car. BTW we also have a Tesla which works with no issues. Very frustrating (beyond other issues).
