Really powerful annotation app, especially considering it's free! With the sheer volume of readings I have to do for grad school, printing out papers wasn't sustainable anymore. I downloaded this app based on reviews and transitioned to doing readings on a tablet; it's not quite the same as writing on paper, but it's the next best thing. I love the integration with Google Drive too.
A lot more intuitive than Adobe, with a clean interface, easy navigation and all the features I could possibly need. My only criticism was that it went straight to the file explorer instead of the "getting started" guide, which I had to stumble upon to find it.
Great PDF reader. I keep a library of PDFs in Google Drive and annotate them quite often. This app will access my PDF files through the Drive app without requiring access to ALL my Drive files. Few apps take that security step. It also keeps my annotations updated to Drive so they sync across my devices. The annotation feature is also very easy to use. There is a pencil button at the top to activate edit mode, but you can also select text and highlight directly from the pop-up menu without having to change modes. This app also gets permission correctly to write to files on the SD card on devices running Android 4.4+. These versions require an app to get permission for a particular folder on the SD card to write data. Adobe Reader will only open SD card files in read only mode. Overall, this is the reader app I have been looking for. I have already installed it on all my devices and uninstalled Adobe's offering. EDIT: After using this for a few day I am even more impressed with the app. It has numerous annotation options that cover everything I can think of, you can have multiple documents open in tabs and switch between them very quickly. Can't give this enough stars.
Very featureful but not bloated. This works excellently on my chromebook plus. The pen functions as a pen while my finger allows swiping. I was loading the PDFs in tabs however this is MUCH more smooth/responsive. Pages load very quickly
Not as easy right out of the box as the Adobe filler, but given the fact that it provides more font selections, and does not require a subscription like other apps, this one wins. Every app has its quirks 2 figure out.
Solid quality app overall. Best features: can keep multiple docs/books in different tabs; back history No continuous page mode (whole page flip) to give it five stars.. a few other annoyances: wish outline was quicker to access and in split window mode; long connect to Google drive; needs a few other improvements.
