Had potential but falling behind on the times. Missing batch tagging functionality. Not as fast and smooth as Google Photos. Info View could use side scrolling for next/prev photo for quick metadata editing. I like that it has a decent geotagging using Foursquare, but it does not uses it to the full potential. It does not resize or work well on a ChromeOS (Chromebook) device.
Been using Flickr since 2006 and this past years I've really grown weary of the app. for my 2018 wish list to make me use the app more is for * When adding to album's and groups allow me to search MY album/group (I have 100s of album's and really puts me off organising my photos defeating the objective) * multiple photo tagging, adding to album's * Following lists , i.e I want to be able to group the people into different list, such a local, camera club, inspiration * Foursquare does not work, just a simple map to search and click on would be great Thanks for the efforts
The Auto-Uploadr feature is very erratic. It didn't upload any of my pictures for 9 months, so I thought it was completely broken. Then, all of a sudden, without me doing anything, it uploaded many photos and videos over the course of 2 days. Then, after 3 weeks, it uploaded another large bunch, mostly ones it had somehow missed previously. What's up?
Love flickr! I use it more than other main social media outlets! The fact that it's more oriented around photography really Shines as there is an amazing wealth of Incredibly beautiful and skilled photos to get inspiration from. A lot of knowledge, tips and ideas are shared which really helps build the community.
For over 6 months now I cannot log into my account via the app. I have tried all known options including uninstall. I use Flickr regularly for posting my photography hobby and for posting pictures from events. Flickr will lose a lot of business if people cannot log in due to the Same error, "sorry else cannot log you in, please try again later!" The app is useless, as are the so called tech support who are no more helpful than a chimp on a sugar rush.
Hey Flickr, please help! I've just created a new account with this Google email and I'm having trouble loging in. The app doesn't open the email/password page. I've tried to reinstall, managed to add a recover email and phone number, but it didn't proceed any further. // I'm getting 1 more star off for your unresponsiveness.
When updating Flickr
One has to be careful
To add the right features
Lest we get an earful.
But there's no need to worry
In this particular case;
What's been added in 4.5.0
Is particularly ace.
Long missing from Flickr,
That crucial MacGuffin:
