Once you get used to it is okay. The last word of a sentence seems to become the first word of your next sentence....after the message you receive. I get frustrated if using public WiFi. But not a good idea anyway. No crashes so far. Have used everyday for about 6 weeks.
It is nice because some friends who are not on FB but are on your list of yahoo mail can still be in touch easily and efficiently without using email but through this new yahoo messenger app. I hope they make some improvements like able to make phone calls and video calls like any other app. Thank you!
Omg I hadn't used messenger in a long time but wanted to get some addresses off it so I installed it. It's HORRIBLE. It's like they want to push users away. It's boring usage wise and looks wise. I don't find it worth having. I'll just email or text or better yet, use a messenger that is actually appealing. This is why I haven't been using it in years. It just keeps getting worse and worse. The devs want Yahoo to fail.
I used to like the old app; this is horrible. Maybe let competent developers design your app instead of management or marketing? The app opens with a default contact, no idea who it is, no past conversation with them, and they don't appear at all on the website messenger. And there's no apparent way to get rid of it. Do you people even do usability testing? People don't want a UI that was designed by a drunk marketing monkey at 4 am at night.
Yahoo Messenger. Decent app. Hated it at first because it changed so much. But its ok now. Still find it fairly bland and boring. But it works perfectly well. Now receiving notifications again. Its decent. Still prefer the old version but its gone now.
As with anything, just about the time you get used to it, they change it! It happens again and again. This is the new version of the old that worked just fine, now have to learn this version all over again! Leave a good thing alone!!!
