Used to be good but not great now. Frustratingly slow. Can take up to a minute to open an individual message. Sometimes opens up the wrong message. Can take up to 24 hours to send a message. Deleted messages sometimes reappear. Well below par.
So much better than the regular Gmail app the phone comes installed with. It never synced correctly and ended up going online to check. I didnt want to download the app fpr the lonest time, until i got tired of the app not working and decided to download yahoo app. Im glad bc now I can easily check my emails and have it updated at all times.
Updated for 2017...I have noticed that this app hides my emails! I couldnt find an email i was searching for on my phone, so i used the website on my pc instead. I found it on the website but still couldnt see it on my phone. However once i replied, it appeared on my phone app??? I had refreshed the app before hand too, to make sure it was upto date. After cross checking the internet page and the app there are several missing on the app. It seems that the app hides emails from you for no reason at all!
Pop up notifications means you never miss an email. However, I would like it if the icon showed that you have messages if you miss the pop-up. Great filter folders. (Example) you can choose your shopping emails within your folders. You can also add your outlook, Gmail accounts. I've always used Yahoo as my default email supplier. It's simply the best.
This is my second edit about this app. Yahoo has 0 customer service. They do not support their product. The so called communities never respond. I want to delete contents of photos and documents but there is no delete option. Just need a little help but you cant get help with Yahoo Mail. Thank God Gmail works in a more intuitive way and you can get help. My 1 rating was generous.
now I don't need the webmail site anymore. Love this app and my phone would suck without it. Can't go 5 star though, cause I wish there were more anti-spam options. The user defined "filters" work a lot better now than they did a few versions ago, so that's cool, but they still don't always seem to funnel mail into the right folders. But still better than the competition (gmail doesn't even have filters and is much harder to create new folders). Call it 4&1/2 star
How do I move the emails I've read & want to save to a different folder when I need to? I don't want any of them to be seen right off the bat when I open the app. I was perfectly happy with the way it was before, when I went through the Internet app on my Android. But you guys did something & changed it up. I had to manually enter the entire email address of the recipient. This app takes care of that, but as I said, I do not want my emails to be seen upon opening the app. I still can't move emails to the folder I want them into. How do I get the older version of this app back? I wish people would quit "improving" things.
