From the website to the app, Yahoo has made it virtually impossible to follow comments. What is the point of sending notification about replies or thumbs up if the comment in question cannot be found? Why comment at all if you cannot participate in a dialogue? Why dies Yahoo continue to fragment this aspect of their product? Oh, right... WE are the product.
...intermingled "promoted" and "sponsored" articles are just. Garbage. Inadvertently clicking on one story even, is a nightmare at best of 1 page of news scattered over Pages of clicking to get out. At worst, fictional pages demanding one immediately "click here" to eradicate some virus or another. There are few non-slanted Good works of journalism at whose end one cannot return to a main page, instead, a click Closes the App.
When you comment on someone's reaction there's no notification when someone else comments further. You comment, then that's it, conversation is over and after a few hours, good luck ever finding the thread again. That really sucks. I guess the only way to have a continuing conversation is to post a reaction; not comment on a reaction. First time I ever saw that; it is lazy on yahoo's part.
Piece of junk. Always refreshes and goes back to the top after you read an article so you have to scroll aaaaall the way back down where you left off. It sends me notifications even though I have it turned off. I don't care that there have been 700 reactions to a story I read! Very bigoted articles too. They must hire the crap of the crop writers for a lot of their articles.
Most of the comments add to the devisiveness this nation is experiencing. If people can't express themselves civilly, using multi syllable words and complete sentences they should be red flagged as an embarrassment to society.
