Yelp is a great service but the iOS app and the web app allow you to sort by "Most Reviewed" which is the only setting to find the best food in an area. The Android app does not allow you to do this and so I have to either log in to the Desktop version of the web app on my phone (really not fun) or use someone else's iPhone to find the places I am looking for. This app would be so much better if this one feature was added.
It is good to discover different places to go to this app and it is great to read the review it so I enjoy it very much. The only thing I don't like is that when I search for something in Google and it shows that it is on Yelp Google and then it shows me that it has a yelp page. So I click to open it in the app and yelp opens on the start page instead, leaving me to have to search all over again.
Decent app, but gets sketchy and freezes up when connecting to various wi-fi's around town. Annoying when you're ready to submit a review and a freeze up occurs along with the image and the notice that "we're aware of the problem and working on it." Once the bugs are worked out, I'll investigate using it again.
This app itself is fine however I think some people use this platform to complain and tear apart a business because they had one bad experience. They will break their neck to write a bad review but won't go to the trouble to write a good experience. I like to make up my own mind about a place instead of using someone else's opinion to choose for me
I love Yelp and enjoy all the features that the community has to offer. The mobile app, which we all use when we are driving or out and about and want to find something on the fly, is super great, minus the fact that I really wish links to the websites of restraunts would open in am external browser app. The in-app browser does not always display correctly or load menus, which is kinda the point of looking up a restaurant ahead of time. I wish there was a setting where we could adjust the coding preference? Otherwise, I love yelp and use it a lot :)
This app sucks because of taking me to a webview of the restaurant website within the apl. They need take me to my browser. Do you know in a webview you can't download the pdf version of the menu. A lot of websites do not work well within the webview. Hate it. So now I have to search on yelp, find a restaurant and then go to Google to search for the restaurant and go to their website. Do they even have a UX designer. Because this is really getting in the way of user experience.
