This game is a work in progress and I will be adding more content to it in the months to come. For now, the main purpose of the demo is to show how far I've come in the world of mobile game development and, of course, to get people to play and enjoy a new virtual reality horror game. I'm also looking forward to meeting other developers/sponsors who are interested in working with me.
Keep in mind that I'm just one guy and developing a professional game without bugs and with a deeper storyline and more stuff to do will take a long time. It has taken me around 6 months just to develop this short demo because I have a day job and it takes up most of my free time. That being said, I'm open to any interesting partnership proposals! If you're a developer or an investor then let me know and perhaps we can work something out. My dream is to one day earn a living making games.
What can You do in this demo?
There are a total of two keys hidden in the level. One of those keys will grant you access to the Supervisor's office and the other will enable you to enter room #3 which is currently the only room you can enter. Since it's a horror game, I have attempted to spook you a couple of times. Let me know if it worked in the comments section ;)
Like with other similar games, this game uses the Cardboard's magnetic button (or touch button on the 2015 version) for input. Simply pull the trigger or press the button once and you'll start walking. Do it again to stop.
You can interact with objects (door handles, keys, etc) by pulling the trigger also. To make it easier for you to pick up items, I've made it so you stop walking if you happen to put your cursor on top of an item that can be picked up. Now just pull the trigger to pick it up.
Plans for the future
I'm really hoping to build the rest of the rooms, each with a different haunting, and a 2nd floor to the building where you can do even more epic stuff! Who knows, maybe in the very far future you can even exit the motel and walk around in the abandoned streets inspired by Silent Hill? This can all be possible with more people (and money) involved.
Your feedback is very important!
Your feedback is the only way for me to know whether or not your'e happy with the game and what I should be changing in order to make the experience more enjoyable for everyone. So go ahead, rate this game, write a review and send me ideas on how to improve the game as a whole.
