About this app

YouID is your digital identity wallet. YouID is a secure digital identity wallet that lets you safely store identity information and other personal data.

You never have to worry about remembering details on or misplacing your identity cards such as driver’s license or NIN. With the YouID app, all your identity information and personal data can be stored securely and within easy reach whenever you need them.

What you can do with YouID

Store various types of personal information securely
Generate a two-step authentication code (2FA) that can be used to access any online platform that supports 2FA
Get notified whenever your password has been breached or your login credentials leaked

What you cannot do with YouID

You cannot register for government IDs like BVN, NIN, Passport etc. with YouID
You cannot link mobile numbers to an individual’s NIN or SIM card with YouID
You cannot change or update your existing government ID information with YouID
For all of these, you will need to go specifically to the relevant government authority.

Your details are safe

Add details to your YouID by scanning a government-approved ID document. We accept Passports, Driving Licenses, and National ID cards from all African countries.

Any details you add to your YouID are encrypted into unreadable data that only you can unlock. The private encryption key to your data is stored safely on your phone – only you can activate this key and access your details using your Password, PIN, or Biometrics.

Privacy policy compliance

We do not share your details or data with third parties without your permission. We encourage businesses to only ask for the details they need, so when you choose to share your details with a business using YouID, you can feel safe sharing less data.

Successfully registered myself. But each time I open the app to update by details, it automatically shuts down. I've uninstalled and reinstalled it twice but to no avail. So much for the noise upandan. I'm so livid.

This app would have been great but information such as physical verification on the avatar page is not working, addition of address is always coming back with "network error". The QR scanner is also an issue. Pls see how this can be resolved.

Installed app and it won't send the email verification code to my mail. Then my sur name was auto corrected and I tried to edit it and it won't. I actually thought the app was something easy to work with.🤦‍♀️
