Pretty convenient and seems to be getting better. As others have pointed out, a few months ago they canceled my car (that I relied on) at the very last minute with no substitution, incredibly frustrating. Car issues seem to happen frequently but when it did recently they actually substituted another car at the same price (even though it was technically a more expensive car). They even sent me a nice message informing me of the changes. It's much better than before.

Been a Zipcar user for over a decade now. Great service and the app is terrific. Easy to use to quickly find available cars to schedule. The ability to lock and unlock through the app is a bonus. And how easy it is to report any issues, whether physical outside or the level of clean inside, is a tremendous help. The app is really well done.

This is a waste of your money. You can't see available cars until you pay the Application fee. After which you have the option to only view available cars. Regardless of which you select you will only be shown vehicles that are already booked. If I wanted to check availability I should be able to do so without paying for a service I may not need. My payment has been canceled, we will see if they bill me next month. Don't waste your time or money. There are alot of better options. This is not one

Hi Sam, thank you for giving us a try - we definitely agree this is frustrating. That's why we are working on rolling out a feature that allows non-members to search for cars before applying! We hope you'll consider checking us out again when this feature is more widely available.

What's new

This update brings bug fixes and other improvements to the app. When you share a Zipcar, you also share responsibility. Remember our community rules: keep the car clean, fuel up, and return on time.
