Major memory hog. Heats my phone up like no other app ever has. Constantly reloading. If you rotate the screen you get to start from scratch in reading the article you had been reading. The notifications are hit and miss, mostly miss. It's a shame as the content on the app is very good Update: I finally uninstalled this app. It just destroyed my phone. Total garbage app. I use the Chrome browser to access the site now.
All day, every day. If you're a Pittsburgh sports fan, this subscription is a MUST! From morning to night, features, reports and other content is constantly added, and it is the best available, hands down. The app is a mess however. Scrolling issues, where the headline takes up the top half of the screen and an ad takes up the bottom, leaving just a bit of screen in which to read the story. And there are other issues. Hopefully they'll be fixed soon..............the new version of the app is a HUGE improvement.
New app is struggling I used to go to this app daily. Now, I just don't want to use it. The writing is still good but all the new features have led to multiple issues. From long start-up times to frequent crashes it's just too frustrating to use these days. I have to say, the old app wasn't flashy but it was reliable.
Great content DK is the best sports writer in the 'Burgh, bar none. The app unfortunately has a lot of performance issues and is barely usable. I can't really recommend it to anyone. This review is for the latest update.
Pens&Patty New update from DK....I have new Google Pixel....Site still has issues in performance....Freezes...And flashing buffering going on in background. .This is the absolute best Sports site for Pittsburgh sports fans....Shame it still has issues....Let's get some updates to fix these bugs.....
Amazing Content, Sub-par App Content is very good; but since the website's rebuild a few months back, the app leaves a lot to be desired. It crashes (seemingly) at random, the GIF's don't load reliably, the loading icon sometimes stays through the entirety of reading the column/article, and the layout isn't nearly as intuitive as the original app. Just put a shortcut for the site (through your mobile browser) on your home page and skip the app.
