In general, a very nice app. Worth paying for. Does what it says. The reason for 3 stars is that seems like the developers do not really use it... I'm missing: 1. Temporary disable all limitations. It happens that your kid asks for "only 10 min more". Should I edit now my settings only to allow 10 min? 2. If point 1 will be implemented, it requires a timer to return to activate the rules again. 3. An additional time limit for specific application(s) will be great 4. Decide which days are the weekend Thanks.
So far, this is the only parental control app I've ever used that actually works, and works in a useful way. I've tried a number of them and they are ALL horrible. Like really bad. Dinner Time actually works. I used the free version for a few weeks and eventually paid for the full version. If you know me, that last sentence would be all the endorsement you need. Also, the fact that I actually took the time to leave a review speaks volumes. I never do that.
I have a paid version so that I can setup more break for my kids. It works well initially until my son know how to bypass it. I am not sure if this happen to other phone. For Xiaomi phone, even when the app is block they will have few second to work on the screen before the blocking window shows up again. By toggling with the blocking window and the setting, my son is able to disable the accessibility and get full control of the phone. The dinner time plus app is basically of no use now in his Xiaomi phone
It's a very smart app. I think it's very well made and a smart idea, despite the fact that I am on the child side of it. One thing I would say is that the child should be allowed to see what restrictions are enabled, such as when "Bed Time" or "Study Time" is going on / off, or what apps are locked / allowed, and the time limits set.
Excellent. Worth paying the fee for upgrade. I can see what my daughter has been using her phone for, by app, with time for each. I can set when she can use the phone and which apps at different times of the day. Also if she's away from home and texts me asking for more time I can do that remotely. Please create one for ios!
So useful! My kids hate it that I can deny them the use of their phones when they're supposed to be sleeping or doing chores. I went ahead and paid the $4 to unlock more breaks (and name them things like "chores") and it was worth it.
