I've played for maybe 2 or 3 hours. With that said, iv barely scraped the hours upon what seems hours of potential gameplay here. It's alot like wazhack, with all the unidentified potions, weapons and scrolls. I give this game a 5 star for achieving such great gameplay value. Can play endlessly and replaying is where the fun really comes from. GREAT job devs, you really hit the nail on the head with this game.
A very good visual 'rogue Like' game. Way above the normal top down dungeon crawler. Not too much grey and lacks color. Understand it's a gloomy dungeon but would be more enjoyable if grass was green instead of dead grey. I might play for a few hours in this dull ash dark dungeon. I believe that it would be more enjoyable if the texture changed to a brown from an dwarves catacomb, green of an underground wellspring, black of the underside of a dead marsh. Some imagination would make this less of a chore.
An excellent rogue-like dungeon crawler, with an atmosphere and system of its own. The premium features are unobtrusive, wholly optional, and thoughtfully integrated with the game. There is a curious atmosphere that keeps you exploring, making discoveries, and murdering monsters. The frailty of the protagonist really adds to the sense of peril. If you liked Pixel Dungeon, you will like this. Subtle elements and a unique ambiance make this one a winner for me.
I'm not normally a fan of roguelike games because they're often too easy to beat first try or don't feel worth replaying. This game certainly makes you work to progress but rewards your efforts making the game feel all the more satisfying! I especially have always enjoyed the aspect of random upgrades instead of bought upgrades more. I've only just begun a week ago and I've yet to pass floor 3 lol because I explore every room and try finding every secret! I have one spell I really love too that buffs your secret finding skills so you can't not find all the secrets if you get the elder scroll for it!
This game is one of the best on the app store. While it does have microtransactions, its premium currency is relatively easy to obtain outside of that, with the 'memories' you get from dying or passing through boss floors. The only time I've felt compelled to spend money on currency was when I died unexpectedly, and even then I only spent $3. Considering how many hours I've put into this game, def worth it.
One has to play FOREVER, dying many times for each and every ounce of advance. I rarely get past level 2 before dying and basically having to start all over again. Make advancing easier. Make upgrades more attainable. Great gameplay over all, just too much effort for too small a payout for my likes. I don't have a lot of play time. I want to have something to show for it.
