Zinio app for Android. I have just been notified of a new download. Yet, no matter how and what I try, it does not even appear in my library. Yet, when I access my library via a browser, this new issue is there. I have even done an app uninstall/reinstall to see if it would solve the problem. NO LUCK!!!. Also, when I turn on the app, everything is in French. Fix this app, or you are losing me as a client!!! And by the way, your servers are out a lot!!! And one last thing, you have removed the "refresh" module from the app...Why?
Another 3rd party "reader" trying to carve out its place. Two "issues" that are the reason I can't use this continually.. 1. Every time I go from one section to another I ALWAYS get a "service error" stating my connection was lost & I need to reload. I'm not sure why it continues to do this? My Wi-Fi is sufficient speed & I don't have this issue with any other app. & 2. If I was an apple user I'd be in heaven but other than a few Android mentions here & there, there isn't any of the "Android titled" mags available. It's o.k. other than that.
I like that this app has such a wide selection of magazines and .I can access international magazines everywhere. However I find them much more expensive here than the physical versions, while the physical versions also have a lot of extras. Also, they come much later which is surprising considering they don't need to be printed and are cheaper to produce. Also not all publications have properly synced to Zinio. Kindle is better about doing that but they take it a bit too far so that it feels like you're almost looking at a website rather than a magazine page (you have to keep clicking and scrolling on the page). Something in between would be great. And lastly, it would be great if Zinio could have one subscription rate for a number of similar magazines together.
It takes too much room on my device. I would also like it to remove ALL files it downloaded, when you remove a magazine. It would be nice if you could remove multiple magazine's at once. If it had these memory saving options I'd give it 5 stars. Best customer support, they respond & resolve issues immediately and check back to ensure every thing is working.
Great customer service At first I was sceptical about subscribing to a magazine with zinio: are they legit? What if it's a scam? They are legit and I am glad I gave them a try. But I am most impressed by their customer service: they respond right away to my emails and have fixed any problems at once.
I'm still downloading my first magazine purchase to my device and I felt compelled to go ahead and review Zinio because it's been such a frustrating experience. Not only is the app incredibly jumpy and non-responsive when browsing magazine content (this, on a quad-core tablet w/ 1GB memory) but trying to buy a title is an exercise in futility. After selecting a title you go to a spartan credit card info/PayPal page, but it doesn't tell you which cards they accept. I had to put the number and name info in before it could tell me my card wasn't supported. You should know that as soon as the first two digits are entered, duh! PayPal integration is barely better, as all the information fields appear to be grayed out when they're really not. It took it a good six minutes to go from pressing the PP button to being taken to the info page. Shameful. This is my first — and most likely last — magazine purchase from Zinio, if this is the best they can do!
Improved search and user settings.
