About this app

Zoundroom is a songwriting app for capturing song ideas, writing lyrics and building demos. Each song lives in one project with its voice memos, lyrics and files, on your Android phone and on the web.

Voice recorder for song ideas
• Record a melody, a riff or a voice memo in one tap, so no idea gets lost.
• Import audio from your phone: MP3, WAV, M4A, AAC or OGG.
• Tag recordings as Verse, Chorus, Bridge or Intro, and find them with the project search.
• Export any recording as M4A or WAV.

Write lyrics next to your recordings
• Lyrics notes with headings, lists and text formatting.
• Record inside a note: the voice memo lands right in your lyrics.
• Co-write in real time: you and your co-writers edit the same lyrics at once and see each change as it happens.

Auralis: a writing partner for your lyrics
Auralis lives inside every note. It reads your lyrics and your project and answers in a few lines, without flattery. Start from a shortcut or ask your own question:
• Lyrics feedback: what comes across, the tone, an unclear line and a strong one.
• Get unstuck when a song stalls, with two or three ways to keep going.
• Chord progressions in your key, or in one it suggests.
• Semantic field: words and images around your theme.
• Song structure and title ideas.
Save any answer into the note. Auralis works with text only: it doesn't generate music, vocals or audio. Your melody, your voice and your recordings stay yours.

Audio editor and multitrack recording
• Change the speed without changing the pitch, or the pitch without changing the speed.
• Switch the key, trim the start and end, and add EQ, compression and delay.
• Record new takes over a voice memo or a demo with a metronome. Each take is its own track in the multitrack view, with volume, mute and solo.
• Save the result over the same audio or as a new version.

Share songs and get feedback
• Invite co-writers to a project with a code and choose who can edit and who can only listen.
• Leave timestamped comments on a recording, right at the second that matters.
• Get a notification when someone adds a recording, a note or a comment.

Zoundroom Band: a plan for bands
One Band subscription gives your band a shared space for up to 7 people, you included. Everyone records, writes lyrics and edits audio in the band's projects with Pro features.

Also on the web
Open app.zoundroom.com on a tablet or a computer to keep working on the same projects: record, write lyrics, co-edit, comment, use the audio editor and ask Auralis.

Plans
• Free: try the songwriting app with limits on projects, Auralis replies and audio editor sessions.
• Pro: much higher limits, plus comments on recordings, PDF import, your own tags and as many audio editor sessions as you need.
• Band: Pro features in a shared space for your whole band.

Subscriptions are charged to your Google Play account and renew automatically until you cancel. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in Google Play (Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions). If you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period you've already paid for.

What’s new

A new startup screen gets you into the app faster and more smoothly, even on budget Android phones. Signing in now takes you straight to your projects, and errors show up in your language.

Plus: a new “Your plan” screen to manage your subscription and restore purchases, a recording timer next to the mini player, and each recording is saved to the project you started it in, never uploaded on its own. The app opens fine offline and is more stable.
