1.To get an accurate decibel of sound with this decibel meter (noise meter), please calibrate before use (because the performance of the microphone will be different for each device).
2.Adjust the decibel according to your experience or calibrate with a real sound meter device for comparison. (Because we couldn't estimate the different decibel between devices, we do not provide a specific solution.)
3.To avoid unnecessary loss, please SAVE your recording before exiting the sound meter app
4.If the recordings are not saved, you cannot replay the measurement.

Ratings and reviews

Very Poor.. Paid for premium based on the reviews. Stereos at Mid volume and already at 110 DB however it stays pegged and flat lines at 110 won't go any higher who won the volume gets twice as loud.. downloaded another sound meter and it is very accurate.. not sure what I paid for this one but I guess it's a loss..

Sound Meter is an excellent sound meter. It matches the NIOSH app for the iPhone exactly, which says a lot. It met all my requirements, including an excellent graph showing the average SPL exposure in DBs, and the displayed values are very easy to read. Kudos to the developers for such a high-quality app! My only ask is that you add color segments on the arc of the readout meter, indicating danger level (e.g.: red for >= 115q db).

I'm only had this app for a very short while, but in the brief time that I've had with it, the level of polish, the beautiful UI and the consistent and predictable results have been impressive, and a testament to the obvious love and skill that went into the development of this application. Should anything change I'll update , but as of now I consider this beautiful app to be flawless .
