Waited two years for update, gave up I enjoy the content but it looks and works like something on my first smartphone 12 years ago. Clumsy navigation, no sharing, pictures don't load, often content does not refresh, "a face only a mother could love. "
It has all of the excellent content you've come to expect from The Hill. However, the app is so clumsy and slow when compared to rival applications. It takes a bit of time to open and if you cycle to another app and then back to The Hill there is another awkward load time on the newsfeed page even though nothing has changed.
The content is good if and when you finally get to it. Very long load times on application start, again on loading top stories, again loading the stories that work, and yet again going back to main page. Too much trouble and waiting for a current news app
The quality of news is good. I trust the hill in what it puts out, but the app itself is hideous. Looks like an early iPhone app, needs an overhaul bad. The interface is bland, but not in a professional way.
Performance of this app has declined in recent months. Articles rarely load. I have removed and reinstalled with the same result. I have many other news apps and I don't experience the same problems, so it cannot be my device. The articles are great, hope the app improves
Disappointing This app is really disappointing for several reasons. It's slow to load, looks very dated, does not auto refresh when opening the app, and it's difficult to access more than a handful of the stories that are on the front page of the main site. The Politico app is far superior to this, with a load time that is at least 3-4x faster. Even the NPR news app is noticeably better. It's a shame because even on a desktop PC their website has also gone downhill with the auto play junk videos before the comments.
