About this app

The application is intended for visitors to the Reading Festival I Read in the City. It helps you navigate the program and venues of events, track your own reading habits in the form of a daily streak, and discover new books from the festival database.

Main functions:
• Book Dating – Daily book offer to browse by swiping: you can either show interest in a title or skip it. Books you are interested in are automatically added to the "I Want to Read" list.
• Personal Library – Sorting titles into I Want to Read / Currently Reading / Read statuses. The search covers both your own shelf and the entire book database; you can add a found title straight away, or report a missing one. The detail of each book includes the cover, description, publisher, and ISBN.
• Event Map – All festival events on the map with the option to filter by year (1st, 2nd, 3rd). After tapping the point, a description, photo, and current event status will be displayed (Will take place within 24 hours / Currently in progress / Has taken place) and you can immediately start walking navigation to the venue or open the event website.
• Reading streak – With one tap on the "Reading" button, you will indicate that you have read on a given day. The calendar in the application shows your reading history, and protective "drops" will keep the series alive even after a missed day. An evening notification will remind you if you have not read on a given day.
• Settings without registration – The application works anonymously via device ID, so there is no need to create an account. In the settings, you can switch between light/dark/automatic appearance, view the privacy policy and terms of use, or delete your data from the server at any time.
• Partial offline map availability – Once downloaded, event data remains stored on your device, so the map and event information are available even if the internet connection is down.

The application is the official digital guide to the Reading in the City festival.
