Ratings and reviews

I'm missing the feature of downloading maps form the map itself. As in: I am somewhere, I want that map, I have to pick it from a list, instead of just directly downloading it. Besides that. Easy to use, sometimes there are good pictures of the places. It has absolutely all shelters by virtue of open street maps. Good servise

Best Map Layout for me. I am a bike traveller and map fetishist and this is the ultimate offline map for me and my purposes. In the very beginning around 2013 I liked maps.me, but they changed the colors so much that almost all roads are white and it's hard to see differences between small roads, major roads, side roads, paths etc.... In mapy.cz you see.directly which kind of.road you have and if it's tarmac, gravel, single trail etc... Loving it 👍👍👍

Somehow Mapy.cz just nailed the rendering, especially when using the app for the outdoors. Tracks are mostly clearly marked, the search function works very well, and the hill shading does a great job of conveying altitude. There is a major issue though: every time you switch apps, the app re-renders the entire view, which takes a few seconds and may lose any track or search item you had open.

What's new

Once the next version of the app comes out, you can help us keep improving Mapy.cz by paying for the premium version. We offer our premium supporters new, advanced functions and unlimited offline map downloads. We will also gradually unlock Premium benefits for the most active members of our community.
The free version will still work as normal. The only difference will be the new option to save an offline map of one country including regional maps within the country and update it regularly.
