EDIT: I stand corrected. See dev response. Since the "about this app" is purposely made unclear, here's how offline maps work for the free vs paid tiers: Free tiers - you get one map of one whole country. The size of the United States map at time of writing is just over 33gb. Once downloaded it will regularly update. Paid tiers - you get more downloads and aren't forced to download entire countries. I think it's very scummy that the app does make this clear as day in the store page.

I use the navigation for driving and outdoor maps are comprehensive and easily navigable. They show even some minor routes, which are not marked on Google maps. The unfortunate thing is, not so many people use them and (therefore?) they do not have sufficiently up to date all the newly popping businesses (especially the smaller ones).

I played with this app a couple of months ago when i was at sea and loved it. Now that I'm home and want to use it to plan routes for various run distances in finding it much more difficult to use that it was previously. What's changed? I think I'm just gonna u install it and look for something else. Shame, because I'm a Windy Premium subscriber and had high hopes for this app from the same creators.
