Ratings and reviews

Used to be amazing, but doesn't work since it was updated Dec. 2024. It has the best info on trails and infrastructure in many countries to navigate. But since the update, it's completely unusable. On wifi, I can't see get any maps to load, I need to create an account to get access to 1 offline map without paying for premium-a hefy $20/year-but the acct creation process doesn't work. And the 1 map limit is crazy, trails cross borders! So disappointed with the update. Need to find a new option.

I don't use mapy.cz for driving very much, but for hiking or other outdoor activity it is by far the best map app I've ever used. And I've tried multiple. Downloading offline maps is very easy and setting up routes and navigation is intuitive. It's a Czech app but has trails for any country in the world. Have used it in Scotland, Armenia, USA, Bulgaria and Switzerland and everywhere it's very useful

like the relative simplicity and lightweight (130 mb) size of the app. just ok on rendering and base map quality (for hiking). don't like having to create an account to import GPX tracks, no control over basemaps or their display layers, no control over imported GPX display, no control over units - metric only (this app does not even have a settings screen). I know I said simplicity is good, but these are just really basic considerations for a usable hiking app.

What’s new

For our Premium subscribers, we’ve improved My Mapy. You can now keep folder contents permanently visible on the map—even when you first open the app. Planned or already visited routes and places can now be marked as visited.
