EDIT: I stand corrected. See dev response. Since the "about this app" is purposely made unclear, here's how offline maps work for the free vs paid tiers: Free tiers - you get one map of one whole country. The size of the United States map at time of writing is just over 33gb. Once downloaded it will regularly update. Paid tiers - you get more downloads and aren't forced to download entire countries. I think it's very scummy that the app does make this clear as day in the store page.

Excellent app. Works basically like Google Maps but also with all the trails. The only improvement I can think of are 1) the ability to zoom in on the elevation profile. When having a long trail, the distance makes the profile very hard to read. 2) being able to add "points of interest" without them appearing in the sequence of selection route points. sucks that only one country's offline map is allowed, this doesn't work for many country spanning hikes

I consider this App one of the best apps for cycling because the map illustration has cycling & walking routes, relief contours, and other features clearly illustrated so when you're on the move and glance at your phone it is easy to read your position etc. Also being able to transfer routes across is doable although it may take some time. I find myself frequently recommending this app to other hikers & bikers. Keep up the good work 👍

Navigation can now save your battery by dimming the screen between navigation instructions. Just enable automatic screen dimming in the settings.
