Excellent but... Edit: After refreshing the app list, backup was allowed. Looks like app list is not refreshed on opening AppMonster. I had upgraded my firewall from free to paid version. *** Why it can't backup my firewall app (AFWall+)? It backs up all other apps in same folder but says no write access to that folder when trying to backup firewall app. An Update is overdue... A LIFE SAVER I wished I wouldve found this prior though. Myself I dont like change. I have updated apps and the changes they make are crazy. So thanks to this app both my downloaded and pre installed apps I can backup prior to installing their update. If i dont like it I can simply restore the previous version. Thank You for this app!!! My tablet had the workable app i recently updated; bluetoothed the files to my phone; restored; and voila!
Awesome. Really great app. Backs up almost everything, more than enough for my needs. I frequently use this to take an apk file from a not as supported device to another. It's also great to grab free apps from Google Play and then convert them for my BlackBerry Q10 & PlayBook!
Doesn't restore Kept this app for months, hoping to use it any time I'd need to restore an app to a previous version. Unfortunately, every time I tried it would always say "App not installed" then quit. At first I thought it was an error with the way I handled the app, but eventually I realized that this app can't restore anything. I'm glad it auto backups though, so I can at least know what the version number I should look for when downloading the apk files online. Don't know if it's even worth keeping anymore though
Upon updating to 3.4 from 3.3, this app somehow thought I needed duplicate files of all the backups I already have. I didn't want to change my backup folder, so I point to my existing backup folder when the app asked where I want to store my backups. Guess what?! It started recursively creating a backup folder inside of another backup folder inside of yet another backup folder...infinitely, with all of my backup files inside!! It lasted until all available space was filled up with duplicate files, then the app crashed. The worst part is that I was not given a choice to skip this unnecessary and stupid process as the app starts. Can't imagine dealing with this stupidity upon every update from now on.
Saved me so many times! And it's great for installing an older version of an app that has a bad update or an update you don't like as much as the older version.
New feature: export backups as a single file and import backups from this file
