The My BMW App is the ultimate vehicle companion. Check the status of your BMW, plan trips in advance, manage all your charging needs, or use one of the many remote features all from the convenience of your smartphone. In addition to daily mobility needs, the My BMW App supports you in many other ways, from booking your next service appointment to discovering more about your vehicle. You can start using the My BMW App as soon as you receive your VIN number in pre-delivery mode, so don’t wait.

CHECK YOUR VEHICLE STATUS
“All Good” – The My BMW App provides you with an overview of crucial status information like your BMW’s drive-ready state, enabling you to:
•View your vehicle's location
•Check your current fuel/energy level, tire pressure and vehicle alerts
•Get updated in case alarms are triggered or the vehicle is hit while parked
•Add widgets to your home screen for even quicker access

OPERATE YOUR VEHICLE REMOTELY
Control the functions of your BMW directly from your smartphone:
•Schedule and activate climatization
•Lock and unlock the doors, access the trunk, operate the horn and lights, and with later generation vehicles open and close windows.
•Record images from inside and outside the vehicle
•Update your vehicle configuration remotely, including onboard apps

NEW: PASSENGER REMOTE CONTROLS (model dependent)
When joining a roadtrip, passengers can use the My BMW App to operate multiple onboard functions such as climate settings, media control, interior lights and navigation functions like sending destinations directly to the onboard navigation – by invitation of the driver and even without BMW ID.

The My BMW App is optimised for vehicles built from 2014 onwards. The availability of individual app functions depends on your vehicle equipment and your BMW ConnectedDrive contract. The availability of app functions may vary between countries and vehicle models.

Ratings and reviews

App forces you to use location accuracy, which is not cool. That should be the users choice if they prefer to limit location accuracy even if it provides a lesser in app experience. Whenever I open the app, the notification pops up asking if I want to turn on location accuracy, when I press no, the message just pops up infinitely until you give up and turn on location accuracy. This is incredibly poor from the app devs. Also forced to use Samsung wallet for digital key, no option for Google.

Can no longer install or use it. For a long time, I could click remind me later on the update screen, but now I cant do that. You've blocked me out of using the app on my device. All my money went into your car, unless you're gonna buy me a new phone, LET ME USE IT ON MY DEVICE AND ANDROID 8, as I have for 2 years now! This is ridiculous. Update to your response: your response was useless, did not solve the problem at all. There was absolutely NO REASON to completely block the installed version.

I like this app. it's particularly convenient between cars. I've had rental cars and it's nice quickly transferring your information between cars. I recently purchased 2017 740i G12 with low miles. I quickly connected my app and purchased ConnectedDrive. There is a generational gap between my car and current models. However the app still comes in handy linking my previous destinations with my car. No remote start in my year is a disappointment. 1 App issue, slow to update or send to my car.
