About this app

The new My BMW app is the successor to the BMW Connected app and has a new modern design with intuitive and simplified user guidance.
Thanks to the three menu tabs, you will always have access to all the relevant functions of the My BMW app:
• Vehicle: Versatile remote control functions and all important status information about your BMW at a glance, especially for electrified BMWs
• Map: Search for and send destinations, gas stations, charging stations and parking areas directly to the navigation system
• Profile: Personal settings and up-to-date information from the world of BMW

CONTROL AND LOCATE YOUR BMW
The My BMW app shows you all the important information about your vehicle at a glance, such as the tank capacity and the current range of your BMW. For electrified vehicles, you can see the current electrical range and also the charge status. With the Digital Key, you have your vehicle key digitally on your smartphone and can share it with friends (available for Apple smartphones and for vehicles with Operating System 7). Are all windows and doors closed? Is your BMW ready to drive, are the tire pressure and oil level correct? Then the My BMW app will indicate "ALL GOOD". Have you forgotten to lock the doors or would you like to activate climatization in your BMW before driving? With the My BMW app, you can easily lock and unlock the doors or start the ventilation at any time. This allows you to conveniently control the most important functions from your smartphone. Do you no longer remember where you parked your BMW? The My BMW app knows exactly where your BMW is located.
PLAN YOUR NEXT TRIP
The integrated search function makes it easy to find destinations and send them directly from the app to the vehicle's navigation system. It is also possible to transfer destinations from third-party apps. In addition, you can find out about the opening hours and prices of parking garages. The map in the My BMW app will show the current traffic situation. When driving with a BMW Plug-in Hybrid or a fully electric BMW vehicle, the electric range is also displayed so that you will know whether you will need to charge your vehicle battery en route. In this case, you can also use the My BMW app to find the nearest charging station on the map.

The My BMW app will inform you about available remote software upgrades. This will allow you to regularly receive new and improved digital functions for your vehicle and to keep your vehicle software up to date on an ongoing basis (available for vehicles as of Operating System 7). When is the next service due? The My BMW app will remind you in good time of the next service appointment and also find the nearest repair shop for you. You can easily book the appointment by phone or with your app. BMW Roadside Assistance is also available via the app if you are having any problems with the vehicle. In addition, you can receive the latest information from the world of BMW with lots of interesting articles and offers in the My BMW app. You can use Amazon's Alexa* speech assistant at the wheel of your BMW just as conveniently as you are used to at home. Simply connect your Amazon account to your BMW account in the My BMW app.
Download the My BMW app to make full use of the digital features of your BMW. All important information about your BMW can be accessed on your smartphone at any time and from anywhere.

This app hasn't worked in the past few days AGAIN (I have 3 BMW products, 2 that are less than a year old, one a Full ///M and this app is very undependable, especially when you really need it. This is very frustrating when you can't use it in any of your cars, especially in the sub-zero weather. Come on BMW, get with the program before I move to another brand. Inexcusable.

Convenient, One Stop... Almost. If the ability to make payments in the app was still active, I would rate it 5 stars. For the last 3-4 months I've had to use web browser to make payments. It's also hit or miss if I get payment reminders. I hope this gets resolved soon. I love the remote start features and the ability to find the car. The ability to take a 360 video remotely is sweet too, but it keeps needing an acknowledgement of the privacy policy everytime you do it, which is a pain.

My BMW app is useful and convenient, but it definitely could use some improvements. I wish the app would send me notifications when my gas is low. It should also suggest gas station options nearby. This app should send real-time notifications when doors are unlocked, windows down, hatch/ tailgate is open, etcetera. Lastly, I'd like to see the BMW app have options to add packages to our vehicles if applicable. (The Volkswagen app is far more advanced than this BMW app.)
