About this app

luca helps you to digitally shape your social life. You can use luca to discover restaurants, bars and cafés as well as access additional information such as menus. You can also access an overview of your past visits.

For individual locations, the app can perform other functions. For example, reservations can be booked.

luca was designed and established in Germany. We are working to make luca available in other countries soon.

Since installing this app, my phone keeps freezing regularly. It almost never froze since I bought it a year ago. Uninstalling the app means entering all your information again (really excited for that data leak!) if you need to install it again (which you have to because a lot of stores and venues think this terrible app is a great concept, even if it's been proven to be fundamentally flawed.) So yeah, cool. Thanks for making things worse.

When you register, you have to give your adress. The app doesn't seem to accept postal codes of other countries that consist of a different amount of numbers or include letters, so you can't enter your real adress, which is not ideal. Besides, for checking in you need to be online. As a foreigner, I don't have data for germany. I'm also not going to log into every free wifi just because of this. While the system chosen has quite some flaws, for Germans with data the app seems to work quite well

Awful. Definitely the worst app I've come across. Doesn't work at all well, and when it doesn't, it absolutely freezes. It also tells you in a commandeering tone what you're not allowed to do (e.g. check out after only a short while). It is absolutely insistent you follow all their orders. Words fail as to how objectionable it is. Zero stars.
