About this app

---------- NO ACTIVE DEVELOPMENT ----------
Sorry, I am really busy and cannot maintain the app anymore. I am truley thankful for all the feedback I have received, but I wont be able to update the app any time soon.

---------- WEB WIDGET VERSION 2 AVAILABLE FOR TESTING ----------
The second version of Web Widget is a complete rework with focus on performance and ease of use. Most notably it now includes two different widgets, a scrollable one and a static one. The static should be preferably used as it offers great performance benefits. It is the ideal choice if you want to display full screen web pages (e.g. smart home controls, your own custom widget etc.). Toolbars have been completely removed as they take up resources and offer no real benefits. They have been replaced by a dialog allowing for the same kind of interactions without disturbing the look and feel of the home screen widget. No more unnecessary redraws! The widget now intelligently determines when it has to redraw the web page contents so you always see the current state of the site.

NOTE: Any widgets previously created will be deleted or stop working.

----- HOW CAN I JOIN TESTING? -----
Scroll down to the bottom of the Play store page. You should find a panel titled 'Become a beta tester' with a button you have to click to join the testing program.

----- HOW CAN I OPEN THE MENU DIALOG? -----
To open the widget's menu dialog, (slowly) double tap the widget. Another possibility (which seems to work more consistently) is to tap the widget with two fingers simultaneously.

----- WHERE IS FEATURE XYZ? -----
Many features that were previously available are not yet implemented. If you want to request any feature please let me know by leaving a review or sending me an email.

----- HELP, MY WIDGET FLICKERS! -----
This is caused by a too low minimum redraw delay. Although the widget intelligently determines when to redraw, you still have to tell it how fast it is allowed to redraw the web page. Open the settings and choose a higher value.

----- HELP, MY WIDGET CRASHES! -----
This is to be expected, as it is still an early preview. If a crash à la 'App has crashed' or 'App is not responding' occurs, I should be automatically receiving detailed crash information which help me fix the issue. Please stay patient and wait for a new update to be released, or alternatively write a constructive one-star review on the Play store.

---------- INFORMATION ABOUT CURRENT VERSION ----------

Display your favorite websites directly on your home screen using this highly customizable widget. You can now actually interact with the website itself! Note that links will be opened in a new browser window. Because of limited gesture support on the home screen, use the provided arrow keys at the bottom of the widget to scroll the web page or click the pop out button at the top to open the site in your default browser application.

Customizations:
- Set custom website URL (supports local 'file://' URLs)
- Request desktop or mobile site
- Enable or disable JavaScript
- Custom language
- Custom user agent
- Refresh periodically using custom interval

Really loved it. This is what I wanted. Just few suggestions. 1. If I could name top header instead of url. Basically I am trying to track train schedule. To and From by extracting api link from webpage. So I have two widgets. If it could be named then I could easily figure out of it is south bound or north bound train. While I can do this by remembering it but too lazy for that. :) 2. If widget could be made smaller than 2×2. Otherwise its just taking extra space for me.. 3. If refresh interval could have schedule option. In my case I would like to refresh at every 2 minutes in morning and afternoon. But, other time makes no point refreshing. That's a lot for this great widget..

Seems to be the only Web Widget App that is still working in 2020 on my Android Pie phone. The Beta version doesnt work very well at all on my device (LG G7 (thinQ) running Android 9 Pie) but I love the regular one, although it is sorta outdated. Best and only usable one of its kind, so keep it up! I'd love to see some more updtes soon!

Please!! Can you returt to update the app? I need to see my trello and planyway gantt chart and agenda, and they don't have widgets. But your's is perfect. It show up a msg about enable third-part cookies, but I already do this and the pages don't show. And when show, with java enabled, the page appear and go blank. With the java disabled, the links to login don't work. It's a great app. Maybe you can earn some money with it, charging a anual price.
