Akulap Mobile: Professional Acoustic Measurement
Turn your mobile device into a high-precision acoustic measurement instrument.

Akulap Mobile is not a toy—it is a professional-grade acoustic analysis suite built on the proven technology of our Akulap Windows software. Designed specifically for acousticians, audio engineers, and consultants, Akulap Mobile brings lab-quality precision to the field, allowing you to perform standards-compliant measurements directly on your smartphone or tablet.

Whether you are using the built-in microphone for quick assessments or connecting a high-end USB measurement microphone (like the Microtech Gefell MV240), Akulap Mobile delivers the data you need.

CORE CAPABILITIES

1. Sound Level Meter (SLM) & RTA (IEC 61672 / IEC 61260) A full-featured SLM optimized for professional workflows (e.g., German TA-Lärm):

Real-Time Analysis (RTA): 1/1 and 1/3 octave bands.
Weighting: A, C, and Z-weighting (Linear).
Ballistics: Fast, Slow, and Peak detectors.
Advanced Logging: LAeq, LCeq, LZeq, and level-vs-time history.
Can be calibrated with a sound level calibrator

2. Precision RT60 & Room Acoustics (ISO 3382) Execute all standardized reverberation time measurement methods with maximum flexibility:

Logarithmic Sine Sweeps (Chirp Method): Achieve superior SNR even with small speakers or at low playback levels. Perfect for measurements in occupied or noise-sensitive environments.
Impulse Method: Analyze transient sources like balloon pops or starter pistols.
Interrupted Noise: Classic analysis of noise source decay.
Detailed Metrics: Instant calculation of T20, T30, and EDT using Schroeder backward integration.
Wav recording in parallel

3. Speech Intelligibility (STI) according to IEC 60268-16 Determine the Speech Transmission Index (STI) using the sophisticated Indirect Method.

Zero Extra Effort: STI and the MTF (Modulation Transfer Function) matrix are calculated automatically from the room impulse response. No additional measurements required.

4. Professional Hardware Support

USB Microphones: Native support for professional USB interfaces and measurement mics. Compatible with high-end capsules (6.5 dBA up to 160 dB).
Bluetooth Connectivity: Output test signals wirelessly to portable speakers or specialized dodecahedron sources.

5. Integrated Database & Session Management: Store, organize, and maintain your measurements in a local secure database. Group multiple runs into a single session to calculate ensemble and parameter averages automatically. This allows for spatial averaging across multiple microphone positions, ensuring a scientifically robust characterization of the environment.

WHY PROFESSIONALS CHOOSE AKULAP MOBILE

Total Autonomy: All DSP math and reporting are performed locally and offline. No internet connection is required for analysis in the field.
High-Performance Engine: SIMD-optimized (NEON) algorithms ensure fast, real-time processing on mobile hardware.
Intelligent Analysis: Features ensemble averaging to improve SNR and automatic outlier rejection to filter out corrupted measurements.

Seamless Workflow: Generate comprehensive reports as self-contained, **single HTML files**. All high-resolution SVG vector plots, metadata, and results are embedded into **ONE single file**—no external folders or dependencies required. Share results as easily as a simple document.

AVAILABILITY & LICENSING
Akulap Mobile requires a valid Akulap 2026 license for full functionality.

Demonstrator Mode: Without a login, the app functions as a demonstrator. Measurements are restricted to the frequency range of 400 Hz to 2 kHz. This allows you to test the interface and hardware compatibility before committing to a full license.

Upgrade Path: Users of older Akulap versions are eligible for attractive upgrade conditions. Your existing Akulap USB measurement microphones are fully compatible with the mobile version.
