Survival – The App for the Major State Exhibition

Dinosaurs, prehistoric whales, and mammoths – experience different periods of Earth's history in three museums!

Accompanying the paleontological state exhibition "Survival" (2026/27), the app "Survival – 3 Museums, 1 Journey" takes you on an interactive expedition. Together with the inquisitive alien Gidluk, you'll travel – either in person at the museum or from the comfort of your own home – through some of the most fascinating worlds that originated in North Rhine-Westphalia.

Journey into the world of dinosaurs and discover gigantic herbivores, swift predators, and bizarre plants in their natural habitats.

The alien Gilduk, your companion on the tour, embodies curiosity, openness, and an outsider's perspective – qualities that also characterize good science. Researchers assume that life in the universe is not unique! Who knows – perhaps extraterrestrial visitors have long been observing our world. And where better to show them the history of Earth than in a museum? Fossils provide direct evidence of evolution, climate change, and the interplay between organisms and the environment.
