The new design is less intuitive to use than the old one, even though it looks more modern. Also it now shows a warning about not working without Google Play Services which is a) not true and b) should only be shown once, since it takes up some valuable screen space. The app runs just fine with microG, there's no need to show a warning. I'd recommend Transportr as a better alternative to this app, it's open-source and way more intuitive to use.
The app is worse than it was before! I had already uninstalled it before, but decided to give it one more chance after the update. And it is terrible. I couldn't book a single ticket for my area, it was simply not available for purchase 😕 and it is confusing... It took me a while to figure it all out. I thought it was simply bad. I wouldn't recommend it. Better just get the HVV card and the Deutsche Bahn app.
The new UI is a bit overloaded with the information and the integrated Google maps. You need to think about the users with slow hardware. I think there should be a light or mini version of the app (the previous would exactly pass).
New app is horrible. UI is unintuitive and wastes screen space. I don't care about tickets and there's no way to switch this information off. Some really useful settings like the transfer speed options are simply gone.
Completely unusable after the update for me. The planner is simply not working/there is no output. Why you would replace a functioning app with a non-functioning one is beyond me. DB Navigator will have to do I guess.
If I could give no stars, I would. This new version is even worse. Unfortunately I know of no alternative and this is better than nothing.
