Promising but repeatedly crashes and distorts drawing. This app has great promise and potential but it is let down by repeatedly crashing. It also distorts drawings making editing necessary. I've tried to put up with these deficiencies but have finally given up, having decided it's quicker and more reliable to make a paper sketch and note the dimensions on it.
Good but lost a useful feature The new version doesn't let me copy the title of the sketch....so frustrating but apart from that it's very useful
What a great idea... But it crashes my Galaxy S5 constantly. Running android 5.0. I'm trying to figure out a better order of operation so i can get the most out of the app. A real fix from Leica would be best. And then I can do my job better.
getting better, but currently not fully reliable. Not being pressed for time on my last measured survey I've tried to use the app with D810. The first thing I noticed was a conflict between the app pairing process and my phone's OS pairing procedure. When clicking on the phone's message to accept pairing the app's connection got lost. After a couple of attempts somehow it managed to connect and could work with it. Another thing that bothered me is the fact that it doesn't overwrite the phone's screen saving mode. The screen turns off and I have to unlock it and sometimes the connection gets lost. I'm trusted that the app will improve in time but at the moment I wouldn't dare to use it for any complicated full measured survey. To mention that I used it on a Nexus 4, Android 4.4.4
Great idea, poor execution I'm looking forward to updates that will make this app better. I'm not giving up on this app, but it needs to be more reliable. I have intermittent Bluetooth connectivity losses between my Nexus 7 and Disto D810 Touch. I even bought a Nexus 7 (2013) after lack of success with other devices as I heard that the Nexus 7 works. Also, once the devices are paired, the Android keyboard won't pop up to type a name when adding a new sketch as the Disto becomes the dominant input device.
Update: Getting better. This app still takes more work than it should, but it's coming along. It would be much better if it would assume 90 degree angles when finger drawing and have the user manually change it rather than snapping to the closest dots and having to correct every time. Not enough flexibility. On the other hand, for (very) simple sketches, it'll get the job done.
