About this app

Subtitle Viewer is made for finding and viewing subtitles. Once synchronized, subtitles are displayed in real-time: The current sub gets highlighted. The app does not play movies, you can use it while watching a movie on television or in the cinema.

Features:

- search for movies and series
- display the subtitles for a movie or episode in your language
- sync subtitles by using play/pause or by tapping on a sub
- scroll back to see the last subs without getting out of sync
- adapt the font size and display brightness
- search for text within the subtitles
- export subtitle files to use them with other apps

Contact:
Please contact me if you have trouble with the app or if something does not work. Suggestions for further improvements are also welcome (unfortunately, automatic synchronization is currently not possible).

It's a very good app. But the older version or SV version allowed you to be able to resume wherever you stopped if you flip the screen. This one, if you flip the screen or go to a different screen and return, it automatically goes back to the beginning of the script. It gets tedious to have to keep pausing whatever I am watching just to do a word search to find where I left off. This is something you should fix 9n later updates.

Thanks for your feedback! True, this is annoying and should be fixed. I'm just wondering how it was working in a previous version :D

I only wished I had discovered this app earlier. Last time I looked in 2016, there were no good subtitle "players" for Windows or Android. This app is exactly how I envisaged it to be. Unfortunately, just like the other apps, this one also seems to play a few deci/centi-seconds slower and would keep falling behind, going out of sync with my video after a few lines. Thankfully, changing the speed from "Normal" to "Faster" did the trick. I've only tried one video so far but I think a finer speed adjustment would be good to have in case it's needed.

Thanks for the five stars! The problem with the different speeds is that depending on the platform/player, films are played with either 25 frames per second or with only 23.976 fps (so they're really played slower!). The slower/faster option in the app uses exactly this factor so it should be fine. If not feel free to contact me :)

Good app! Does what I need to. Recomended! A couple of notes to the developer. Rotating the screen stop the reproduction of the subtitles. Is it possible to have them in a box "always on top", so that it's possible to watch a video on the same device (maybe with a small play/pause, prev, next menu that appears when touching the subs area)

Thanks for your feedback! Both of your points are already on my list ;) I'm currently completely reimplementing the app (the code is extremely old) and I don't have much time to work on it. Which means that sadly this won't happen soon. But I add +1s to your requests and definitely won't forget those!

What's new

- Included drawer for the main menu
- Fixed crash when leaving search screen while search wasn't finished yet
