Good features, battery hog This app has a good deal of useful features for helping with your zazen. But it seems to consume more battery than expected when used. Also I'd like to be able to decide if I want a service to run on my phone, so could the service be possible to switch off via an option in the settings?
Great design, doesn't work I STAND CORRECTED! JUST CLICK ON WHAT LOOKS LIKE THE ONLY (PRE-RECORDED) SESSION, AND YOU'LL SEE A DROP-DOWN LIST OF ALL THE POSSIBLE SESSIONS. Lets you create customized session (variety of bells, at variety of times, at variety of volumes--fantastic). HOWEVER, it fails to save or run any of these sessions. DEVELOPER: Please fix! BTW, I'm using an LG phone. ANYBODY HAVE SUGGESTIONS ABOUT A COMPETING APP WITH SAME DESIGN THAT ACTUALLY WORKS?
'Nice app. I had downloaded Insight Timer but then discovered that the free version didn't include 8 different tones as advertised, but that it was an upgrade. Anyway, i sat down with this app last night and thought, Well, it'll take me awhile to set it up the way I want--start time, delays, end time, which bell to choose, volume, and so on. But ... No. I was done in about 90 seconds--with setting up the session I wanted and deleting 2 other sessions that I created while learning. It's easy. It's intuitive.
great exactly what I was looking for - a timer with a nice sound for meditation. it also has a load of really useful features that I hadn't thought of - namely that it can stop other stuff on your phone making noise and interrupting you (eg calls, texts etc). you can configure multiple sections aswell which is nice - I like to use this to give a short intro to get comfy
Great! Free, functional, with great sounding selection of bells. A little confusing to set up, but once you figure it out it's probably the best android meditation app. Thanks dev!
Phenomenal app Does what it says. Requires no extraneous permissions. Can be set to disable other notifications if user desires. Contains lovely assortment of bell sounds. I love the feature where it lets you set your own routine. I use it to help me do work or other intellectually-demanding tasks. It's better than a regular timer because the bells are so nice and the user doesn't have to touch his phone to stop the sound (i.e. the bell will ring long enough that you'll notice, but the bell sound is pleasant enough and dies out soon enough that you don't have to reach for your phone to turn it off when it rings--you can just let the sound decay at its normal rate.) I would have paid $11 for this app.
- Fixed a bug that let Android kill the meditation background process when memory gets low. This should not happen anymore now.
