Ok app with very Limited functionality The only thing this app is useful for is providing a timetable for scheduled trains, it doesn't show any prices or options for daily tickets or any other useful information, doesn't even show delays in train schedules accurately. (Only tested it with local trains) dear Deutsche Bahn, please get your IT together, all other developed nations manage to have proper train websites where it is possible to buy train tickets and check for prices.
Crashes constantly, hostile to foreigners Not only does this app crash constantly but good luck using a foreign (in our case American) credit card. After a MasterCard and 3 Visas we finally got one to work (cc company confirmed there were no attempts to charge the card).
Horribly horrible app Does not give me option to buy ticket to final destination (within Hamburg). Had to find out manually what last supported stop was. Otherwise no buying option at all. Did not help in the end. "booking not possible" error message with no further explanation. Wanted to check if there is a problem with my credit card, but there is no way to change your credit card information in the app. Thanks, Germany's biggest railroad company obviously did not arrive in the 21st century yet. :-/ you suck. Big times.
The most horrific UX to date This should be an example of bad and inconsistent UX. Hire an expert or send your interns to some courses... Who decided on the current back button behavior should be pushed back to the dark management corners since I can't believe any engineer would come up with such idiocracy. Design is nice and simple, some icons are not obvious but that's fine, but that UX...
Map view is utter useless I would like the option to disable map view, particularly for my tablet. It is currently disabled for me in the settings. Fix it. UI is completely useless, if I have only a tiny fraction of screen available for searching etc.
Crashes too often especially on startup. In-app feedback is broken (opens general help page, no feedback form provided). Otherwise useful. You want this app if you use public transport in Germany.
Before, travellers were required to select a preferred form of ID to use on the train before they could complete the booking process. We have now eliminated this step. On the train, travellers will be asked to show their ticket to the train attendant, together with a passport or a ID card. Our push message service will also inform you if your departure platform changes.
