With MOOVME, the free app for timetable information and ticket purchasing, you can get to your destination quickly and reliably. Whether by train, S-Bahn, tram or bus—you will receive real-time information about current departure times and short-term schedule changes.

You can buy the right ticket for your connection conveniently and securely with your smartphone via direct debit, Visa or Mastercard, Google Pay and Apple Pay as well as PayPal. Alternatively, MOOVME offers you the CheckIn-function in the MDV area: With a swipe, the trip is automatically recognized and the cheapest available price is calculated.

With the distance-based fare, you only pay for the actual distance between your starting point and destination, regardless of fixed fare zones. The fare consists of a base price and the distance traveled in kilometers as the crow flies, which is why the final amount can sometimes be odd. Your advantage: In most cases, this is the cheaper option.

Ratings and reviews

EasyGo was buggy but buying a ticket was, well, easy to go. Buying a ticket on moovme is classic German bureaucracy: pages of repetitive questions, your first payment method won't work, and ten minutes are needed to compete a single transaction. What make it easy when you can make it complicated? You should only use this to buy HopNGo tickets (since they can't be purchased elsewhere), and the old-fashioned machines for everything else. Back to the Stone Age.

Beware when buying tickets without an account. If the download fails/is interrupted your money is gone and there is no other way to get your ticket. The receipt does not contain a valid ticket. Update: Payment with PayPal stopped working months ago, now payment via credit card is also broken. This app is only useful to plan your ride.

Good app in general as a replacement for EasyGo. However, contrary to the app description, it doesn't inform in real-time about disruptions. Fresh example: there was a strike in Halle week or so ago and trams were not operating. But, the app did not inform about it and continued as usual to show regular schedules. Therefore, two stars deducted: you deserved it.

Distance-based fare: In Halle (Saale), when you use MOOVME CheckIn, you automatically pay as-the-crow-flies. For you, this means odd prices that are usually cheaper.
