About this app
The free Flora Helvetica Mini app shows all functions of Flora Helvetica Pro version, but only selected species. It allows rapid testing and gives a good overview of the full version.
The full version contains images and Artporträts of more than 3300 in Switzerland growing plants and allow a multi-criteria key determining plants using simple features. The Pro version also includes the proven dichotomous key.
The plants are equipped with portraits images, distribution maps and informative texts. In a field book's observations can be saved with the exact location and reported to the National Data and Information Center Info flora. In addition favorites can be managed and their own observations are enriched with photos and notes.
The texts in the Artporträts written by Gerhart Wagner and Andreas Gygax and compiled. The vast majority of color photographs comes from Konrad Lauber.

THE FUNCTIONS
Types & Filters
The species list allows browsing and searching in the types, either with the German or Latin, respectively. French or Latin species names, the list can be displayed sorted alphabetically or by book number. With the filter, the species list can be narrowed down to desired characteristics such as flowering time, geographic distribution, or by the families and genera.
Determine
To determine a way are a dichotomous identification keys and a multi-criteria keys.
The dichotomous key constructed according to the usual botanical dichotomous scheme: Between each pair of listed characteristics to be selected appropriate to the plant to be determined until a specific name appears. Who is unsure about a decision, bookmarks can apply to get back easily to the ultimate question. Each time the list of remaining in the selection modes can be considered.
In the dynamic multi-key criteria the species list is reduced by the selection and combination of features. The more precisely the nature can be described with features, the more accurate the determination. Colored dots respectively indicate how well a feature for the narrowing of the species is.
Feldbuch & Fund Messages
The field book app users have the opportunity to enrich the app with your own photos and notes. Observations are stored with the exact coordinates (GPS) and can be exported via email. The findings can be sent by registration form also listed on the National Data and Information Center Info flora.
