Set up is stupid with Samplitude Pro X2 BUT... This is the most ridiculous things to set up. Wasted a day trying out all the different ways to make this work. None of them did, until I tried rtp using MIDIhub. There are a few bugs that cause sticky key press and sometimes sound doesn't play when using the keyboard or pads, then I hit play on the transport and all the presses play at once and then it works again... for the most part, after the headache of setting it up, this works quite well. Not better than hardware, but if you need a portable cheap mixer and transport, drumpad and keyboard and have a tablet, this is a good option. UPDATE: total crap, back not working, the MIDI port software rtpMIDI and MIDIhub are making up connections and mixing stuff up and doesn‘t work and I did nothing. This is to unstable to rely on, which is a shame as the fault isn't this app but the other software required to use it. For now, kind of a waste of money.
Great app, but as a demo it shows its potential, no more Following the video on the support page how to use it with rtpMIDI and set it up in cubase thru WiFi it works quite well, surprisingly low latency, connected pretty easy and shows its potential. But with the record button and 3 faders unusable due to demo restrictions the demo itself became directly unusable for my purpose in mind: remote (read: next room) recording and transport.. Looks great and complete, full version should do the intended job quite well, and more, pitty its a demo
The inconsistent It works sometimes using a Mac but sometimes it stop For Reasons Unknown. It's easy to setup but not very easy to use. It's bearable to remotely control play and rec. However the meters on the channel strips are useless even after calibrating
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! Can't waiiit!!!!!!!! This Is So awESome!!!!!!!!!!!. Man it's one in the morning and i'm like a small child in toy store! :D:D
Setup a little tricky, OSX/ProTools1 1 Setup Mac for LG tablet via Bluetooth. You'll need to download, install and run MIDI Hub, and make connections within that utility on your Mac. Then set up peripherals in Pro Tools choosing HUI as protocol. Even though it was connected and the transport was working, I kept getting the PT warning that HUI wasn't connected, annoying, so I disabled warnings. Maybe a bluetooth problem? Transport worked, but no fader/pan. I know this is a free version, but since I wanted to try it out before I bought it, it would be nice if they allowed automation of ONE fader to see what, if any, delay problems it may have - bluetooth can be moody. But the layout is great and app seems to cover all functions. As a demo it could be better.
current time does not work set up properly through rtpmidi and the current time does not work. so whne I am away from the sdcreen (in the booth) i can't tell if it's going or not...
